Hello All

Can anyone point me in the right direction regarding this issue. My SIP trunk is working fine --in and out, occasionally it loses its ability to receive incoming calls- I reboot the SIP gateway and the trunk comes back up. My ISP is wireless, I never had this issue with SIPX and DSL . Also I have an Asterisk installation using the same wireless ISP with no issues- I want to move him to SIPX but would like to resolve this issue before I do.

Thanks in advance for your help.

are you using ip based authentication? or user/password?

on the itsp can you see registration information, does the registration 'fade away'?

your firewall, (sounds like the problems I had with old firmware on a sonicwall). random stuff.

your wireless isp, are you talking wifi? evdo? what?

it could be your firewall, or your registration could be timing out. try shortining the interval if using user/password.

try ip based authentication if you are not using it.
