Not sure I follow the question or statement... I prefer patton gateways. They can do so much more than the typical gateway.
Not sure about the offhook dialing but I used to use the cisco 186/188 and they worked fine with polycom analog conference squid phones. ============================ Tony Graziano, Manager Telephone: 434.984.8430 Fax: 434.984.8431 Email: [email protected] LAN/Telephony/Security and Control Systems Helpdesk: Telephone: 434.984.8426 Fax: 434.984.8427 Helpdesk Contract Customers: http://www.myitdepartment.net/gethelp/ ----- Original Message ----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> To: [email protected] users <[email protected]> Sent: Wed Mar 03 12:01:32 2010 Subject: [sipx-users] which two port fxs for sipx? Ethernet or pci card (using CENTOS5 CD). would need 4.04 and 4.2 support. Have two legacy POTS phones (one a older polycom analog 'bat' phone, one a security phone). security phone is programmed to dial a 4 digit extension already, but lobby phone type support would work also. (and the security phone does NOT like 30 second MWI signals! It makes it ring.) polycom phone at least would need to make and receive calls. using a couple of old Linksys PAP's now. -- Michael Scheidell, CTO Phone: 561-999-5000, x 1259 > *| *SECNAP Network Security Corporation * Certified SNORT Integrator * 2008-9 Hot Company Award Winner, World Executive Alliance * Five-Star Partner Program 2009, VARBusiness * Best Anti-Spam Product 2008, Network Products Guide * King of Spam Filters, SC Magazine 2008 ______________________________________________________________________ This email has been scanned and certified safe by SpammerTrap(r).
