Calls per second is the call thruput.  From simple dimensional
analysis ( and queuing theory ) the following relationship holds:

Calls/second * average call length in seconds = expected number of
simultaneous calls.

Assuming exponentially distributed inter arrival time for calls.

( If my memory serves me right.. Else, Dale will tell us the right
formula to use. )
