Right. Softphones are very good at doing that but hardphones generally are
not.

They should timeout and show expired. I've always liked the idea of putting
an option in sipxconfig to show "active" only to make viewing it more
relevant for the superadmin.

Yes, that's what I mean. So I guess it can be done, but the user needs to
know how to do this with the client they are using then. If a fixed phone,
then I guess SOL.
