I would look to DECT. I would recommend the polycom KIRK 300 server, it interfaces via SIP but the phones are DECT. If you must use wifi, look at getting a good wireless controller and move away from fat access points. I'm partial to the Aruba Networks controllers. Note: wireless controllers are expensive.
