@Staffan: i tried that command "voice service voip
       allow-connections sip to sip" but still unable to receive incoming
calls.

@Jean-Hugues: i confirmed that the router name server is set to the sipX
machine (w/c is our dns). One thing though.....from the router, i can ping
the whole qualified domain (in our case sipxgw.alsterph.lan) but i can't
ping just the domain (alsterph.lan). Could this be the issue?

Update: Im currently working on fixing the dns
