Hi

I actually did a work around for this, and I haven't seen anything broken so 
far... 

Just change the redirect link in the Apache configuration 
(/usr/share/www/doc/index.html) to port 443 instead of 8443, and
then use iptables to "forward" all incoming TCP traffic on port 443 to 8443... 

Works for me but I'm not sure it's the best way. Anyone else care to comment 
what I might have broken?
