Look at the AA prompt upload page. It tells you how these need to be sampled
and formatted.

Subject: [sipx-users] Static in Custom Voicemail Prompts

Hi

I have converted a number of custom voicemail prompts for use in SIPXecs
4.0.4

Some of the source prompts were in a 48KHz sample rate format - hence I
resampled these to 8KHz. I have noticed that with the resampled prompts, I
can hear static when the prompts are played via telephone. I have verified
this is not a handset issue as a Wireshark reconstruction of the RTP media
stream from the voicemail server sounds the same.

I have tried resampling using sox and Adobe Audition, with a number of
different settings, but with no success.

Any ideas?

Regards
Justin
