I see that a couple hundred issues were recently closed.

I'd like to ask "again" as to the option to support file type other
than WAV files for voicemail. Now that the Media Server is FS based,
and FS has the ability to encode for other formats (mp3, etc.), I'd
like to re-open this discussion as to whether this can be added. I
realize each user might have to license their server for MP3
independently, but that's obviously a choice they can make. There was
a concern under the old Media Server platform that the CPU and
resources required to encode as MP3 were too cumbersome, but FS should
automatically resolve this as well.

Please note: There are a lot of benefits to this, smaller file size
for mobility platforms is key, especially with carriers (US anyway)
starting to charge more for unlimited data plans. WAV is not file size
friendly. Additionally, Google Apps users will find they can play an
MP3 file in their email but cannot have an automatically embedded
player for WAV files in the gmail portal. Since the current sipxconfig
UI only plays the embedded player in firefox only, it's beneficial to
have options like this.
