It sounds like your DID is on the dialplan for the AA in question. The issue is why does the transfer fail?
A call trace should be sufficient to determine why it is failing. In the interest of giving you some functionality I would suggest to create phantom user to route the call (permanent call forward) to the conference line, put the DID in the alias for the phantom user. No AA and no transfer involved. The limitation here is one did per conference.
