Please correct me if I am wrong.

I believe that sipX is agnostic to which codec the endpoints negotiate
when the endpoints

are e.g. soft phones or SIP trunks (external phones). Therefore despite
sipX not supporting g729,

a g729 media stream can be relayed through sipX, to soft phones or SIP
trunks.

But the story is different when voicemail or conference bridge are
involved. If an INVITE comes

which only has G729 in codec list, when that call diverts to voicemail,
we will have problems

as there is no "native" support for G729 in sipX Voicemail. And I assume
the problem is the same

for the conference bridge.

Therefore to fully support g729, we need to buy some licenses for g729
and install them for use by

Freeswitch. Can anyone please guide me to where these can be purchased
and how they are installed

on sipX. (4.0.4).

Regards,

Sven
