Seems that yahoo won't take 1MB wave files, would like to see mp3 option for voicemail attachments.

this is a FORTY NINE SECOND VOICEMAIL.

a 792478 byte 00000070-00.wav file becomes 1085667 bytes by the time mime encoding is done.

also, if you are on a data plan on your phone, an mp3 would cost a lot less than a wav file:

ls -lh t.mp3 00000070-00.wav
-rw-r--r-- 1 scheidell scheidell 774K Aug 4 18:39 00000070-00.wav
-rw-r--r-- 1 scheidell scheidell 49K Aug 5 06:06 00000070-00.mp3

just to document:
curl -O http://rpmforge.sw.be/redhat/el5/en/i386/rpmforge/RPMS/lame-3.98.4-1.el5.rf.i386.rpm
rpm -ivh lame-3.98.4-1.el5.rf.i386.rpm

then if you are clever, you cause use a script as a delivery agent in postfix/master.cf. look for wav files and replace them.
