You might find it easier to rewrite it.

A custom build would be necessary as well as tweaking and going through the
entire codebase to change locations and links. Its a big job because it was
written to be directly linked to the OS as a standalone system.

I have looked at this from a couple of different perspectives too, like
being able to store data that changes on a separate media than the OS so it
could run very reliably on a flash drive. It is a MAJOR rewrite though.

Anyone else feel free to correct me.

Subject: [sipx-users] Customising an Install

Let me start by saying im not a linux system admin, but have
been asked to find out if it is possible to install sipxecs
within its own filesystem.

So, rather than having:

var/sipxdata/
var/log/sipxpbx
etc/sipxpbx
usr/share/sipxecs
and others...

Can I install everything under
PBX/sipxdata
PBX/log/sipxpbx
PBX/sipxpbx
PBX/sipxecs/
and others...

The requirement to do this is to 'contain' the application
within in its own area, and ensure applications are
separated from the 'system', and ensure individual
applications cannot bring down the whole server.

I have not come across any options to specify the above...

Thanks
Abdul

PS - would also be useful to have a list of all the
directory locations sipxecs writes to if somebody has it to
hand..
