Yes, I had 4.30 already installed on a test system and updated inline.

There is an issue with a db schema doing an update from 4.2.x and I've
reported it. This would cause you to drop the database and start over. If
it's a test environment, it's unstable, and there is not much to be done, it
should be OK to do so. You would have to reconfigure gateways, users, etc.,
but not reinstall the system itself.
