I'm assuming you want to ultimately have a Audiocodes gateway, firewall and
sipx, where the firewall is simply a "firewall" and all user proxy,
registration, etc. happen on sipx.

All of your questions have good answers in the wiki. Before you attempt to do
any of this, I strongly suggest you install version 4.2.1 from ISO and have all
of the prerequisites out of the way, like DNS and registering local phones,
before moving onto sip trunk with itsp's and PSTN gateways. It is really
helpful to make sure your firewall is configured correctly also.

sipXecs supporting "server behind nat" and "remote user" requires the firewall
in front of sipxecs to be properly configured. If you don't have a compatible
firewall, it will not work. The requirement is for manual outbound nat or
symmetric port NAT from your vlan that sipx is on to be be s. If the outbound
port from sipx was 31234 (example, for media) then the media port coming back
in would also be port 31234.

I have a good tutorial on pfsense if you do not have access to a firewall that
will do this:

Hi,

I was actually searching the web for some stuff in regards to Audiocodes and I
cam across this site...

Can I use SipXecs as a SIP registrar? if yes, will it work if it's behind a NAT
and the client is also behind a NAT?
Yes, but the remote user must have their SIP ALG and SPI turned off on their
router.

See the wiki:

I actually have an Audiocodes TDM to SIP and I'm currently using OpenSIPs to
send calls from Audiocodes to a SIP user.. I was wondering if I can use SipXecs
Which exact model Audiocodes gateway? As long as your Audiocodes gateway is
configured correctly, it will work.

See the wiki.
