Hi,
there are no entries in sipxconfig.log at the time the backup should have
been triggered.
Any further ideas? Are there debug levels for the config server? I'd
increase them if possible.

Alternatively I'd start the backup script with a cronjob but that’s not
the way it should work.

You are right, the timer stuff is written in java. Check if any error
in sipXconfig.log file
