I know that the LDAP function is one which allows manual or periodic importing
of a user base from an LDAP server.
However, what I'm not sure about is whether a user who has an LDAP account can
log into sipx without having imported the user base into sipx.

In other words, can LDAP users be allowed to use sipx in real time, without
importing, as in, real time?

Second question is password.
When importing the LDAP password, it seems to be converted from MD5 I think it
is and there are characters which show up which don't appear to be used when
sipx generates the password itself. I've seen in the past where certain
characters were problems but cannot recall at the moment which those were.
Is there any chance that the password generated based on the users LDAP
password might be a problem, and so, might be more prudent to allow the system
to auto-assign them?

Mike
