The old EDE used to set up things like FTP, TFTP, DNS, DHCP and so on so that everything worked as well as an ISO install but now that that's obsolete all I know is grabbing the dependencies and then letting the makefiles and sipxecs-setup-system do their magic, that doesn't seem to set up the third party services though. With EDE I could plug in a Polycom phone and it'd automatically show up in SipXconfig and all, with the Git build I had to install an FTP, set up the user accounts manually and the phone still doesn't register with SipXconfig.
