In the meantime, it starts to becomes apparent that dialplan based on user and/or location becomes something that outbound faxing could leverage easily. If my ATA that is t.38 compliant is in a "fax branch" and I can apply dialing rules that recognizes to select a particular gateway (trunk, pri or FXO) that is t.38 compliant, so much the better. At the same time, any type of fax client (try http://www.faxback.com/msfaxplugin/index.aspx) to send faxes from the desktop with windows, just realize the dialplan or the number dialed must match a dialplan to send the faxes out via t.38. The original JIRA, http://track.sipfoundry.org/browse/XX-8645 could probably be used for the new discussion, since only inbound is done (i.e., no way to view faxes from UI that I know of at this time, can only use one fax alias per user, auto attendant enhancements, etc.). I for one am on the hunt for t.38 compliant trunk providers (besides LEVEL3 or Broadvox) that will work with sipxbridge so we can further test.
