What I ended up doing was uploading a ΒΌ second silent prompt to the AA and 
setting it to immediately transfer calls to 4901 during working hours. The 
"please hold while I transfer your call" prompt was acceptable so I just went 
that route.

OK I've run into a calling situation where I'm completely stumped so I'm 
reaching out to the list to get suggestions

Here is the calling scenario:

Caller dials 4900 on sipX.

During the day, call rings directly to front counter phone (ext 4901) and is 
then forwarded after 25 seconds to ext. 4980. Calls to 4901 must be able to be 
*78 picked up so call forwarding within sipX isn't feasible due to a long 
standing bug regarding doing pickup on aliases in sipX that will be fixed in 
4.4.

At night AND HOLIDAYS calls go straight to 4980

The AND HOLIDAYS part is where I'm coming up short. If anyone has any 
suggestions please advise.
