since I'm new to VoIP I think my trace is ok or is something missing?

The phones are "new" and only configured via sipXecs so far. Maybe I've
made the mistake to change one or two settings with the Web GUI before I
knew something about "polycom override problem" but that should only
consider backgrounds or ring tones. Yesterday I've tried all ways to reset
the phones with the help from cypromis (in #sipxecs). I've done "reset
local settings", formatting filesystem, followed
<http://support.polycom.com/global/documents/support/technical/products/voice/SoundPointIP_Config_Override_QT32567.pdf>,

upgrade to 3.3.1, do there all ways to wipe the phones, revert back to
firmware 3.1.3. Nothing solved the problem. What I can tell for sure is
that not all settings are resetted, the backlight intensity stays at least
the same, regardless what reset/format/upgrade/downgrade i've done.

So far I have to really unused phones here left I can use for testing but I
would like to make sure I didn't make the same mistake again and create two
more bricks ;).

So any ideas left what I can do to reset the phones or solve my problem?

Just some more information. I have a very similar setup in another location
with the same problems. And at this site I never ever use the Web GUI,
upgrade the firmware or have done anything else what I can imagine that
could create such problems. As soon as I get the problems solved the plan
is to connect both sites.
