I am trying to connect Lync through sipX using a sip trunk and I'm
having trouble getting sipX accept calls from Lync I keep getting a
407 proxy authentication back from sipX.

If sipX keeps responding with 407, means that sipX thinks the caller should
present its "credentials" (essentially a password) but it is not doing so.

There are 3 reasons why this can cause a problem:

- The call is to a destination that requires a permission of the caller, and
the caller does not present its credentials.

- The call appears to be from a user that has credentials, and the caller does
not present its credentials. "Appears to be from" means that the INVITE's From
header is a user of the sipX system that is configured to have a password (that
is, appears in credentials.xml).

- The caller doesn't know how to present its credentials, or the caller doesn't
have the correct credentials configured.

Of course, you also need to check that the 407 actually is generated by sipX,
and is not generated by a destination ITSP or something, and sipX is just
passing the 407 back through.
