I'd try under the English directory then if you restarted the correct
services. Rather than deleting them, which might cause an error condition,
try renaming them, and copying a much spaller file to that name. then
Restart the service.

Subject: Re: [sipx-users] mute system prompt at end of voicemail greeting?

Thank you. I found the wav files here: /usr/share/www/doc/stdprompts and
for fun I deleted the two that I wanted to get rid of, but the phrase was
still spoken both before and after I bounced the server.

Is there any other way that I might be able to get rid of the phrase "when
you are finished, press one for more options.
To reach the operator, dial zero at anytime." that is at the end of every
user's voice mail greeting?

I came across this issue: http://track.sipfoundry.org/browse/XX-7578.

The funny thing is that this problem is exactly the way I'd like mine to be
normally, but I couldn't figure out how to reproduce this on my system?

Any thoughts and/or suggestions?

I think you should be able to find those actual wav files and alter them to
short, silent files that might accomplish what you need.

AFAIK this is not currently possible, though it is planned. Vote on this
issue: http://track.sipfoundry.org/browse/XX-8637 if you wish to see it
become a reality.

Subject: [sipx-users] mute system prompt at end of voicemail greeting?

SipX 4.2.1.018971

An inbound call is sent to an unattended extension.

After a few rings the call is then forwarded to the extension's voice
mailbox (per the call forwarding rule).

The caller then hears the personal greeting.

Then the following system prompt plays:

"When you are finished, press one for more options. To reach the operator,
dial zero at anytime."

Then the caller hears the beep.

The customer would very much like to eliminate the system prompt completely
and have the beep right after the personal greeting for all extensions.

I said that would be no problem and now I can't figure it out at all!!

Has anyone had to make this change before and can give me a pointer?

Thank you.
