+2,823,586,236,734,785,694,573,455,267,848 We've recently switched internal naming conventions due to external naming conflicts and sipXecs is one of the few remaining systems we can't change without a lot of nasty downtime.

Also, once in a while, I like to build an entirely new system and migrate all the data to it. I am now seeing phone lockup issues when the sipx hostname is the same as the sip domain name. I know this has been discussed before, but I am wondering if it is time to officially look for a feature request to separate the PIN from the DOMAIN. I am sure this will affect REST services too, and so I wanted to see if there was work already being done on this or if a JIRA is needed. I didn't know if this should also be linked to certificates and changing sip domain (in my mind it would). Ideally, it would be nice to restore everything except certificates, being able to restore to a new system with new IP/hostname/sipdomain while keeping the user data, hunt groups, AA's, etc. intact. Alternatively, exporting the configuration for users/phones, etc., without the PIN joined to the sip domain would be helpful, but still somehow labor intensive to rebuild and move mailbox contents, etc. -- ====================== Tony Graziano, Manager Telephone: 434.984.8430<tel:434.984.8430> sip: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Fax: 434.326.5325<tel:434.326.5325> Email: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> LAN/Telephony/Security and Control Systems Helpdesk: Telephone: 434.984.8426<tel:434.984.8426> sip: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Helpdesk Contract Customers: http://support.myitdepartment.net Blog: http://blog.myitdepartment.net Linked-In Profile: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/tony-graziano/14/4a6/7a4
