I didn't know there was an openfire console. I have made 0 configuration
changes to openfire or spark. All PC firewalls in the entire office are
disabled.

As I said, Pidgin works fine on the same computer that Spark won't, so I can
communicate with openfire, just not via spark.

i think whatever is going on with your system is strange. perhaps you can
enlighten folks as to what changes you might have made in the openfire console
or any plugins for spark that you might have installed? or try from another pc
in the event the pc firewall is mucking this up.

I've tried 251, I've tried 1234, I've tried password.

I also am using the lasts sipx 4.4 and the most currently available spark
client.

Is there a better log in sipXecs itself showing client activity?
Sipxopenfire.log doesn't seem like the client activity is there, even at the
debug log level.

I meant setting the password in sipxconfig before trying with spark. Works fine
for me, latest sipx 4.4 build and last 2 versions of spark client. perhaps you
are using a password character that spark dont like?

I have set the password twice in the user's IM settings in sipXecs. Still
won't let me log in. Pidgin lets me in just fine.

What do you mean setting the password first with spark?

I get this same message in my debugger if I use the wrong password. I get
nothing if it is correct.

user=456
pass=whatever_your_im_password_is, i would suggest setting it from the user
account first with spark.

Pidgin also I think be default ignores SSL warnings, Spark gives a

It's strange that I can log in with Pidgin but not with Spark or Pandion.

Any ideas?

That seems to have worked, however all clients are listed as offline, except
for MyBuddy.
