Thank you. Looks like you have to go with the paid client of VOP to get presence. Since I only have 10 clients, I have decided to run Pidgin on my windows server and log in all clients. Then set the pidgin status to away to lower their xmpp priority to 0. That way when a client logs in at their desk using spark, they'll get a priority of 1. This will help ensure that the IMs, if used, will get to the right location.

You could use Voice Operator Panel which can subscribe to RLS presence (and XMPP presence)... But if the user isn't signed in, no presence information is shown. This is a problem as I don't want to run the IM client on all PCs, and some phones don't have a PC associated with them, but I still need to know the status. Is there a way to force all users online so that their presence info can show in those that do use the IM client? _______________________________________________ sipx-users mailing list [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> List Archive: http://list.sipfoundry.org/archive/sipx-users/ -- Michael Picher eZuce Director of Technical Services O.978-296-1005 X2015 M.207-956-0262 @mpicher <http://twitter.com/mpicher> www.ezuce.com<http://www.ezuce.com>
