Hi Tony, Many thanks for your reply. Draytek sent me a beta f/w within hours of me sending them a link to this thread but it had no effect. On closer inspection I've determined the draytek doesn't like the 4 garp packets sipx sends while rebooting - this messes up the state for traffic from itsp so it is still sent to the correct ip but for some reason the mac address of the server gets replaced with the mac of the default gateway the router is using which explains a switch not forwarding these packets to sipx which explains sipx keep on trying as if nothing is there, and explains lack of the icmp unreachable.
