I can only assume your PC dns lookups are strange or counterpath started
silently supporting SRV records. I really lean towards DNS!

I stopped working with counterpath at 3.0. I can say the phone 'works and
provisions properly in 4.4  with the 3.0 version of bria, i just couldnt
make sense to keep paying for phone software updates with them that kept
breaking.

id have to ask paul or someone if they have ferreted out the excel
spreadsheet those geniuses at counterpath keep hidden that shows the
fields/parameters for provisioning. i dont even find notes on whats changed
on their website or forum.
