If your firewall is configured properly, it can do sip-to-sip calling depending on your Useragent capabilites. There are PRi, POTS, ISDN and other teclo gateway. You can use an SBC or use the internal sipxbridge mechanism for remote users and trunking, provided your firewall can be properly configured. Again, there is a wiki: http://wiki.sipfoundry.org If you attemopt to dial out without configuring a gateway or dial plan entry, you simply won't get far. > **** > > **3. **Is it possible to use virtual interfaces with SipXecs? > No. sipx is not designed to run on multiple network cards. As the design is, it is scalable to around 5,000 users per node in an HA environment (using one network card). If you are running it on a virtual server, that is another discussion, that makes the expected load and usage a part of the discussion on how RTC works, and the media services within. > **** > > ** ** > > ** ** > > *Sergio Torosyan***** > > ** ** > > *P.S.* **** > > *** You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which > you really stop to look fear in the face. – *Eleanor Roosevelt* > > **** *It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop. - * > Confucius***** > > ** ** > > _______________________________________________ > sipx-users mailing list > [email protected] > List Archive: http://list.sipfoundry.org/archive/sipx-users/ > -- ====================== Tony Graziano, Manager Telephone: 434.984.8430 sip: [email protected] Fax: 434.465.6833 Email: [email protected] LAN/Telephony/Security and Control Systems Helpdesk: Telephone: 434.984.8426 sip: [email protected] Helpdesk Contract Customers: http://support.myitdepartment.net <http://support.myitdepartment.net>Blog: http://blog.myitdepartment.net Linked-In Profile: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/tony-graziano/14/4a6/7a4 Ask about our Internet Fax services!
