Issue XX-9761 sounds like a new feature and not a bug then. If I recall HTTP access has been available for certain phone models, such as SNOM, but Polycom always worked with FTP/TFTP. Security is my main concern with all these schemes and if we make a step in direction of HTTP we need to think about the security ramifications around distributing profiles that include SIP passwords in a secure way.
I would suggest we move this request into the 5.0 bucket for now. --martin -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of George Niculae Sent: Thursday, October 13, 2011 3:09 PM To: Discussion list for users of sipXecs software Subject: Re: [sipx-users] Profiles cannot be fetched using http? However it looks like is working for others, maybe files were manually copied? http://forum.sipfoundry.org/index.php?t=msg&th=16756&start=0&S=86ac619d3e051 0b3224ec85e3688c699 George _______________________________________________ sipx-users mailing list [email protected] List Archive: http://list.sipfoundry.org/archive/sipx-users/ _______________________________________________ sipx-users mailing list [email protected] List Archive: http://list.sipfoundry.org/archive/sipx-users/
