fyi, most users who know what's going on with this project
use the mailing lists...  mailing list is only posted to by
the forum if you have a valid email configured in the
mailing list...

So, the music on hold you are hearing for remote users is
being injected by sipXbridge (the sip trunk service).

The Polycom phones usually support MoH right out of the
box.

I'd suggest hard-resetting the phones (poly 650, 550, 450
hold dowm 4, 6, 8, * and password 456) (poly 3xx, hold down
1,3,5,7 and password 456).

I'd delete the phones then out of sipXecs, remove any groups
you created, and then boot the phones up.  The phones should
pick up a dummy config from the server if all is configured
properly with DHCP / DNS.

Then add your lines to the phones and send profiles.
