Exactly why wouldn't you qualify the outbound invite by using an outbound proxy?
Outbound proxy is used so the auth process doesn't loop if I recall. Also, it appears you mailer changed some of the syntax so its not accurate here. An invite, like an outbound call needs to be auth'd and permissions/dial rule qualified, hence the need for a proxy. Sipx, at it's core, is a proxy.
