I did a test today to restore from a freshly made local backup onto a system. What I noticed is that that in this case the sipxconfig gui said the service (config server0 is restarting. After waiting an unusually long time, I verified the gzip porcess had stopped running. I saw no processes belonging to "sipxchange" running.
I verified sipxecs was stopped, and could then start it manually and use it again.
