They were dropping because sipXecs responds with an Invite with no SDP, and
they drop the call. Broadvox incorrectly believes there must be SDP in the
Invite, but I am told that is a valid response, and one the RFC requires a
response to. Broadbox simply drops it. Apparently, Mitel has the same
thing, so they have made a correction to support Mitel - hence the Mitel
Option.

I would encourage everyone that deals with this to escalate the issue to
Patric Cook, in their engineering group to ask for a resolution. They need
to fix that and start accepting Invites with no RDP.

Thanks for the info

I wish I would have asked this question about 4 weeks ago, spent a week
testing, reloading and capturing, before Broadvox tried the Mitel option

Before that all incoming calls would drop after transferring from the AA

Definitely can get Name and Number from Broadvox. I prefer to use their
Legacy network, and you want to use a Static IP address with them. If you
get that, you will be fine.

Their new Fusion network can work as well, but they will have to apply the
"Mitel" configuration on it. I've not tested fax across that, but I
understand it can be problematic, per Broadvox Engineering.

I can confirm that I have customers using those two configurations that do
get full CNAM delivered.

The ITSP is Broadvox, they are pretty flexible, and I am told they use a
national database, that is updated regularly

What format is a valid header, so that I can ask them

If the ITSP sends the CNAM in a valid header, it will display. All sip
phones do this.

This would be easier if you state who the ITSP is. Not all are the same. Not
all have the best CNAM databases even if they send it.

I believe the answer to this question is yes, but my boss wants me to verify
it, before we purchase the service

I have searched the Internet, the wiki, and this forum, but I can't find any
info to confirm it

I would like know if the Sipxecs will receive and display CNAM on a Polycom
SP501 phone, from an ITSP
