freeswitch is installed for the sole purpose as a media server (auto
attendant, voicemail and conference server). It can record conference
calls. no direct configuration of freeswitch is necessary. freeswitch is
not a b2bua or proxy, it is installed as a "component" of sipx to do just
media services.

manual edits to configuration are likely to be lost since sipx projects the
settings from a database to maintain the configuration.
