Seems to work just fine it can communicate with our other servers. I
enabled the admin console and took a look around it everything looks
fine. I checked to see if server to server communication was working and
it does. Connected a few spark clients to it and works as it should in
my opinion. Server name shows correctly too which was my only worry.

What does it do to openfire?

Figured it out it involves copying a the sipxconfig database and
changing 2 fields in two tables and changing the domain under the domain
tab. So now I have a good shell I can simply use to build new servers
:)

Well, hopefully with 4.6 things like changing the sip domain will be
easier (or even possible).
This will make it easy to build servers that you can just create images
of or restore a base config then change IP and sip domain.
