You could use a VPN to connect the softphone over Verizon. We had an
office worker using a hardphone over OpenVPN through Verizon 3G
successfully for over a year.

Verizon *does* block SIP-UDP over 3G/4G. We have found cases where TCP
and TLS work, but there does not seem to be any discernible pattern,
so we set the proper expectations with our users.
