A word of warning - I believe that enabling efk on polycom phones may mess with the ability to do the following:
If you use monitored speed dials and simply press the flashing button on an inbound call to 'grab the call' via directed call pickup - I believe enabling EFK will stop that from working. It was a big enough issue for us that we had to disable EFK in our organization. I also think (someone would need to confirm this) that 4.6 will have EFK functionality built into the system, which may have the same consequences (no longer able to push the flashing line to do a directed call pickup) From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Becker, Jesse Sent: Saturday, February 25, 2012 3:40 PM To: Discussion list for users of sipXecs software Subject: Re: [sipx-users] Additional Ring Tones for All Files Thanks, guys some interesting stuff on that link.
