I am not sure of the budget or other factors involved, however, have you
considered an inGate SIParator? I have used that device often for remote SIP
connections if VPN is not a viable option for the remote user. This is not the
normal situation though as VPN is often the safest and cheapest method to
remote users access to an internal VoIP system.

Subject: [sipx-users] TLS Integration (P.S) I know I posted it on the forum and
it's like double post but I didn't read the how to post on the forum before I
did it so I didn't knew about the mail list)

HI

I know that must be a topic that come back often but I did not found anything
that could help me with my problem.

At the moment I am doing the telephony system for an enterprise and they want
remote user (softphone and android user) to be able to connect the telephony
server from home or in the case of the android user anywhere where there is a
wifi or 3g network.

I found that the TLS certificate could give them protection for authentication
(so the password is not transmitted in clear text or other thing like that)on
the server since people will have access to the telephony server on the
internet. And SRTP could be use to encrypt the communication so we don't get
eavesdrop.

Firstly I want to know if TLS and SRTP is mandatory(security wise) to give
access to the telephony server to Internet user (android and people at home).

If yes then I would need an How to do it because I am really not an expert in
telephony.

I try some things but nothing work.

I did what I found on the Wiki:
http://wiki.sipfoundry.org/display/sipXecs/SSL+Certificates
http://wiki.sipfoundry.org/display/sipXecs/Using+TLS

At the moment I am using
SipXecs 4.4
SFLPhone on the same network segment to try the TLS authentication
