The problem is that if I add third server, second server goes ito
"disabled'(ie, in server services - its disabed)Sometimes its third. Server is
MS dns - with a separate domain which is not relicated.I have painstakingly
entered the _sip entries with correct priorities. But then, Sip server works on
dns thing - Its only phones which use SRV. I am talking about services not
starting (failed resource, disabled etc). I will come up to phones (and SRV)
when the system is stable (ie, both the secondary servers have serives running)

Subject: Re: [sipx-users] HA setup with more than 2 redundant servers

alright, everybody knows I'm going here...
sounds like DNS to me...
make sure tcp sip service records have higher (lower number) priority than all
of the udp records.

test dns from all locations in the same manner a phone would get an ip and use
dns.
you'll not want to rely on windows servers for dns at all locations. you'll
want to use bind views or separate dns zone files on each proxy to have phones
pick their closest dns / proxy.

see wiki re: dns and bind views

Hello

Is there a lmitation of HA setup in which we cannot have more than 2 servers?

I added 3rd server and the whole system fails in different ways (phones stop
registering etc). If I remove any third server(other than master), the system
is stable again.

Running 4.4 latest. The 3 servers are in different IP subnets and are actually
branch offices.
