If you are using a "MyBuddy" status from the Polycom menu, be aware that does not work with sipx (and never has as it subscribes to a particular platform standard). The only way to monitor a status is via the sipx RLS server.
Example: A Polycom phone using BLF to monitor another Polycom phone "line" state OR an IM client (i.e. Pidgin or an older version of Spark, etc.). A Bria softphone WITH the Bria IM clientto monitor another Bria client or Polycom phone, etc. IF you are doing the above and the STATUS does not show up correctly I would verify HOW you are making this work. I think it is how you are going about it. (I just tested changing the status message from the user portal and saw the status change in pidgin. Using polycom firmware 3.2.6 and pidgin with latest stable 4.4). > > It seems that this even won't work the other way.
