I think it depends on what your aim is. Know that 4.5 is a dev release and
will not run as built except on centos6.x or later, while 4.4 is a stable
mature release and has an ISO using centos 5.

If you are trying to get familiar with sipx without spending much time, try
the 4.4 release and especially the ISO.

If you are looking for OpenACD or other newer features, realize stepping
through some issues in 4.5 is ncessary as it's ntot polished yet, but being
worked on. Thanks for the report, the devs here read these posts too!
