It was a nice diagnostic tool to get notified when a run away java process was 
maxing the CPU....or to look back and see how long the CPU has been maxed.  
Beyond that I've never used it much.  Integration with other monitoring tools 
probably wont work for most smaller deployments but MRTG could still be 
installed along side with a different port.
