There is a slightly better jitter buffer mechanism on the mainline branch. It allows a larger circular buffer and windowing of RTP packets within the circular buffer. I am not sure this will do anything for the problem that you are seeing, but it is a better base to build on. It does prevent the window of RTP packets from doubling over on itself within the circular buffer.
We are in the process of merging the mediaLib on main line branch with sipXtapi branch. There will be two steps: 1) merge of trivial and cosmetic differences 2) merge of differences with API changes We are very close to have the first part ready to check in. After the main/sipXtapi merge we will do a similar merge with the media-update branch which came off of the sipXtapi branch.
