You're very right. Singletons give us most of detected memory leaks.
As all allocated memory are freed in normal OSes, I postponed this
task to undefined future. However I ever found memory leaks, not
related to singletons, and I'm not sure there no more of them. Memory
leaks, related to usual processing *should* be found and fixed, they
should be treated as bugs.
