Joe,

This is a business meeting between the project leads of the three main
components in SIS. It's purpose is to discuss the business relationship
between Bald Guy Software and IBM. As such, it doesn't make sense for
it to be an "open to all" kind of meeting.

No, this does not preclude Open Source community involvement in the
project(s). And as a matter of fact, the goal of this meeting is to
make sure that both Bald Guy Software and IBM can take the next step
towards closer integration of the projects, and perhaps truly run SIS as
a single project.

We do appreciate your involvement, and everyone elses. Even those who
just submit bug reports or ask questions on one of the lists are very
helpful in improving the toolsets.

So to answer your question directly, we are not planning on having a
closed development process. You'll notice that development discussions
still happen on the email lists and on IRC -- and they will continue to
happen in the open.

But the merging of Open Source software projects proves to be a
difficult thing to do. And the merger of SystemImager and LUI into SIS
is not exempt from this difficulty. This particular meeting is to
address the next step in that merger. If we are successful, it should
be a good thing for everyone involved. And it's results will be posted
here so that everyone is kept in the loop.

Thanks for your concern, Joe,

-Brian
