By the way, once we feel like we've come to consensus here, I'd like to
get this proposal into a more formal "bullet list" document that we
circulate to systemimager-discuss.  This has the potential for
significant impact on users, and I think we've got a lot of clever folks
out there that may find something in the design that we missed.
