Hi Dann, Well, we downloaded the initrd you created but it failed in a different way. When the first UDP connection is attempted by the client (for the flamethrower_directory download), it makes the udp connection, but there is no data transfer. UDP-SENDER shows connectivity message (PRESS ANY KEY TO START SENDING DATA), and the udp-receiver just waits indefinitely.
Looks like the new udp-receiver configuration is missing something (within the initrd).
When I tried to run the udp-receiver manually, it seems to work, but I get too many
timeouts from the udp-server,
Sure looks like a handshake problem between udp-sender and udp-receiver.
What udpcast rpm should we have installed on our image server?
The udpcast rpm version we are using is the one from the systemimager sourceforge web
page:
#rpm -qa |grep udp (on imageserver)
udpcast-20011231sis2-1
I am also attaching the only autoinstall script on our scripts dir, full.master.
Dann, to answer your question about whether the segmentation fault was generated by
the udp-receiver, the segmentation fault message on the udp-receiver ocurred as soon
as the udp connection was attempted.
Don't know if this point only to udp-receiver seg. Fault, but it's more data to think
about.
Anything else we should try?

ouch... lesse, howto debug this.
what version of udpcast are you running on the server?
maybe we should upgrade our client - it is undoubtedly older than the one you're
using...
here's an initrd.img built w/ udpcast 20030706.

let me know if that works any better. if it doesn't, please make a tarball of your
scripts dir & i'll see if i can reproduce the problem. also - do you know for sure if
it is udp-receiver segfaulting - not tar?
