Category: systemimager-client Group: v3.0.1 >Status: Closed >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) >Assigned to: Brian Elliott Finley (brianfinley) Summary: /dev/sda crashes prepareclient Initial Comment: I love this software! I mounted a digital video camera in usb mode on /dev/sdb1. I unmounted it, but as long as the camera is in usb mode, I get this during prepareclient (camera=1394 <-> pc=usb cord): Continue? (y/[n]): y Using "sfdisk" to gather information about /dev/hda... read: Input/output error sfdisk: read error on /dev/sda - cannot read sector 0 Using "sfdisk" to gather information about /dev/sda... read: Input/output error sfdisk: read error on /dev/sda - cannot read sector 0 Using "sfdisk" to gather information about /dev/sdb... FATAL: I don't quite know how to interpret the Id tag of "1" on partition number "1" on disk "/dev/sdb". Please submit... 1) sfdisk gives errors while mounted, that cfdisk and fdisk doens'nt. But these are not enough to stop prepareclient and everything working smoothly. 2) unless I turn the camera from usb mode into something else, this above error shows up, and i cannot prepareclient (even though not mounted). I use Dell Small Desktops gx260, with intel boards and debian testing and kernel 2.4.24. cheers Jan ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Brian Elliott Finley (brianfinley) Date: 2004-02-26 13:03 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=140 Thanks for the bug submission!
