Category: systemimager-client Group: v3.0.0 >Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Jeremy Enos (jenos) Assigned to: Brian Elliott Finley (brianfinley) Summary: prepareclient doesn't update systemconfig.conf Initial Comment: The prepareclient tool should parse lilo.conf and slurp up current boot config to /etc/systemsystemconfig.conf. Or is that a systemconfigurator issue? I couldn't tell who owns it: rpm -qf /etc/systemconfig/systemconfig.conf file /etc/systemconfig/systemconfig.conf is not owned by any package Anyway... seems like the functionality fits into prepareclient's responsibility. It's not really complete without it. This issue has caused failures for me. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Jeremy Enos (jenos) Date: 2004-03-01 12:52 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=270124 It's been so long since I encountered the problem, I don't remember for sure. But I think I had multiple custom kernels listed in lilo.conf, and an image slurp wasn't setting the list of kernels or default kernel the same... so a machine built from that image wasn't looking like the source machine for the image. I would have to re-test to get exact details. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Brian Elliott Finley (brianfinley) Date: 2004-02-26 13:08 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=140 When a client is imaged, all of this config info is in the image, where systemconfigurator can find it.
